Sharing is caring!

Looking for fun things to do in Naples Florida? Not only are there lots of families who live in/near Naples who celebrate the holiday but also a lot of well-off retirees who have grandchildren/grandpups to spoil. Halloween activities in Naples Florida are as varied as the street scene on Fifth Avenue South in Naples as well as the very civilised Fall Walks sponsored by the Botanical Gardens Naples Florida. Other Naples Florida Halloween activities include the mayhem of a corn maize at Farmer Mikes U-Pick and kid-friendly activities such as face painting in the malls of Naples.

Halloween Activities in Naples Florida

Halloween activities in Naples Florida have traditionally culminated with the amazing Halloween Spooktacular on Fifth Avenue South Naples on the afternoon of Halloween itself. All month long though, there are other fun things to do in Naples Florida that build up the excitement level to the big day. For example, all month long, the Botanical Garden Naples FL has evening Fall Walks that celebrate the season.

Fifth Avenue Naples Florida

The Fifth Avenue South Naples street party is easily one of the best street parties we have attended. All of Fifth Avenue South Naples participated. Our hotel, The Inn on Fifth, one of the Hotels on 5thAvenue Naples Florida, was perfectly situated in the middle of the street party.

All of Fifth Avenue South Naples was blocked off to street traffic. Lots of adults and children (and dogs!) in costume mingled on the street. Lots of stores had tables set up to give candy out for the children.

For Halloween, many of the restaurants on Fifth Avenue in Naples Florida had outside seating where you could watch the street party. All the restaurants were filled to capacity with some of them offering special deals.

My favourite part of the Fifth Avenue South Naples Halloween events had to be the runway show for dogs in costumes!! So cute, it reminded me a lot of Halloween in Tokyo which also had a lot of dogs in outfits.

NB! For 2020, the Fifth Avenue South Naples street party has been cancelled. Each of the establishments on the street have been encouraged to do their own thing to celebrate Halloween keeping in mind dictates for social distancing and other COVID 19 measures.

Botanical gardens Naples FL

During October, the beautiful botanical gardens in Naples Florida has evening Fall Walks where the gardens are lit up. There are also picture taking opportunities and musical performances set among the beauty of the sparkling lights in the foliage.

Tip! Remember to wear mosquito repellent because the Botanical Garden Naples FL can get quite buggy.

Farmer Mike’s U-Pick

Another cool Halloween activities in Naples Florida involve a visit to Farmer Mike’s U-pick for traditional fall activities, such as a corn maze.

My kids won’t even go into a sunflower maze so a corn maze wasn’t happening. I might have told them that nothing good ever comes out of going into/out of a corn field in any movie/TV show you can watch. Even Field of Dreams (1989) had ghosts.

Farmer Mike’s U-Pick runs on weekends in October with both family-friendly maze and haunted mazes. There’s also pumpkin picking and bounce houses for younger kids.

In 2020, Farmer Mike’s is offering timed entry tickets to regulate crowds and promote social distancing.

Malls in Naples FL

Naples malls also put on Halloween activities in Naples Florida.  In the past stores at the Venetian Village and Mercato malls in Naples have organised events. Hanging out at the Naples malls is one of the un things to do in Naples Florida any time of year, so Halloween just adds a bit more in terms of entertainment.

If I were spending Halloween in Naples Florida in 2020, I’d definitely head to the Bell Tower mall for Howl-o-Ween where dogs compete in events like best costume. Technically Bell Tower is in Fort Myers, but when there are cute dogs involved, we are willing to travel!

Collier County Parks

The Collier County parks do a great job in providing Halloween activities in Naples Florida. There is usually a Haunted Gross House at Collier Fair Grounds which isn’t happening in 2020. My kids saw it last year and decided a Halloween hay ride was more their style.

In 2020 Collier County parks are doing smaller Halloween activities in Naples Florida.

Mid-October there is a Halloween Howl event at East Naples Community Park for elementary school kids. For the same age group, there is a make your own candy haunted house event at Vineyards Community Park.

Right before Halloween itself, there will be drive-thru events for all ages at North Collier Regional Park and Immokalee Community Park.
